Job Description

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Planner to join their client's dynamic team in California. This role involves strategic planning and collaboration to ensure seamless production and inventory management, with a strong focus on optimizing resources and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production, material, and inventory plans to support customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
  • Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and supply constraints to ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management to align production priorities and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor component shortages and lead times, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
  • Plan and release work orders to optimize production capacity, equipment utilization, and on-time delivery.
  • Track key planning metrics, including inventory accuracy, forecast accuracy, material shortages, and production schedule adherence.
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by coordinating material readiness, production schedules, and engineering changes.
  • Maintain planning data, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and planning parameters within the ERP/MRP system.
  • Analyze planning data and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and internal teams to resolve supply, scheduling, and inventory issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Prepare planning reports, capacity analyses, and inventory recommendations for operations leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, inventory controls, and operational procedures.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and inventory planning, with excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly desirable. The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities is essential.

Work Hours:

The position requires availability from Monday to Thursday.
